Is there a specific time to take Tissue Salts?
Tissue Salts may be taken freely at any time. If you discover a time for taking and frequency of dose best suited to your needs, this may be adopted.
How long until I see results?
People can differ widely in their "response times" to Tissue Salts - because of individual makeup, the nature and severity (acute or chronic) of the ailment, symptoms, lifestyle, diet, etc.
When you start using Tissue Salts and there are relative deficiencies or the body’s cleansing systems are overloaded with toxic materials there may be initial minor reactions from some of them.
If such an experience occurs, do not stop taking them, just reduce your dosage and continue. This is generally a sign that the body really needs the Tissue Salt minerals for balancing the system.
Remember, detoxing is normal when the body is cleansing itself. So if symptoms occur, don’t stop; just decrease the dose then slowly return to suggested dose or contact practitioner for help.

Internal absorption methods are:
It is important that the Tissue Salts are assimilated by the oral mucosa, directly into the blood stream.
Therefore you should let them dissolve in the mouth. The lactose/mannitol of the powder/tablets dissolves quite fast and it tastes a little sweet. Most people, especially kids, like the mild and sweet taste of the tablets.
It is best to drink one glass of fresh water after taking Tissue Salts, so that the body has enough water to be able to detoxify.
Dissolve directly in the mouth
For babies and smaller children or the elderly
The powders are ideal for babies as they can be:
This makes it easy to repeat doses. You can take a teaspoon at a time as a dose or just sip according to the severity of the symptoms which will determine the frequency.
For immediate relief - Hot 8 method
This method is very good for the cramping, spasmodic pains e.g. period pains.
“On the go” water bottle method
This is a great way to take your daily dose of Tissue Salts and to keep your body hydrated.
Make up your own ‘Power Mix” - equal parts of No.2 Calc Phos, No.4 Ferr Phos, No.6 Kali Phos, No.8 Mag Phos, No.9 Nat Mur
For Diabetics or Lactose Intolerance - Water filtration method
Remember to keep the liquid in the mouth for a few seconds to allow absorption through the mucous membrane before swallowing.
Externally - skin absorption methods:
Tissue salts can be used externally as balm, ointments, cream, gel, bath or compress.
These are purely supplementary measures and should always be accompanied by internal treatment and similar remedies. For instance, when treating insect bites with an outward application of Nat Mur, this tissue salt should also be given internally.
Dry application

Making a poultice
You can also use the tissue salts as a tablet mash, if you don't want to use a cream on the skin.

If several ointments seem suitable, one can apply them alternately. Use one cream at one time and use the other cream the next time.
